The reason for this was that they had centers operating in different countries and all devices, data and employees should have been protected within the scope of information security. Protecting their infrastructure with Microsoft 365, Gama Holding strengthens their cyber security posture with MyAdmin, receives training, makes cost optimizations, and obtains full management from a single center.

Gama Holding IT Specialist Nevzat Akça answered the questions of our Marketing Executive Mert Tüfekçioğlu in our Microsoft Teams interview. Gama Holding, which had previously used services such as on-prem, Exchange 2016 and Skype for Business, decided that they needed to completely change their perspective towards the cloud. The reason for this was the cyber security problems experienced by centers in different countries and the certificates that needed to be obtained. “Last year, we renewed our ISO27001 certificates and made a decision. Among the products we used, there was a product we used against cyber-attacks. As a result of our later research, the fact that Microsoft 365 includes more than one security product in the background and provides flexibility made our transition to Microsoft 365 easier," said Nevzat Akça, explaining the starting point of the transition to Microsoft 365. Gama Holding, which has an innovative infrastructure with Microsoft 365, has accelerated its steps towards being both secure and productive. "With the licenses we received and the work we did with our team, we increased the protection and management of devices, the security of personal data and security awareness," said Akça, adding that he was generally happy to switch to Microsoft 365.

Expressing the importance they attach to security as a company operating in many countries, the team stated that they had access to the infrastructure they wanted with the support of Makronet technical teams. The actions to be taken for ISO27001 certification processes were initiated with DLP principles. Gama Holding, which initiated a project for Zero Network infrastructure, decided to optimize this process by participating in Microsoft FastTrack programs. “We started to create a more comprehensive security infrastructure. The IT business still continues, and this place will continue to grow,” said Akça, aiming to make security possible for all employees.

While Gama Holding continues to achieve a more secure infrastructure with Microsoft security services and secure its productivity with innovative projects, they manage all these processes with MyAdmin. Since they operate in many countries, license and invoice management was a huge operational burden for them. Nevzat Akça explains how they eliminated the process here with MyAdmin features with the following words: “MyAdmin was and still is at every point of the processes, not in a single place. It is especially useful when we want to increase, decrease, or report licenses. Gama Holding also has different construction sites and regional differences abroad. With MyAdmin, we can detail and manage invoices according to the region where users are located. We get a new license quickly and if we need to remove it, we remove it easily. So, it also benefits us economically. That's why we are very pleased.”

MyAdmin can also invite Gama Holding to different programs and reveal all needs, thanks to the Adaptation Center. The IT team, who are more familiar with Microsoft services through the "Do More" workshops and "Solution Assessment" program provided by Microsoft, can now easily complete the licensing requirements. He emphasizes the importance of MyAdmin with the following words: “MyAdmin really makes my job much easier. I don't have to call you and ask for an extra license or make any requests, I can see if we're paying the bills and report everything. So, we are happy to have this product.”
